SICARIA shares remix EP featuring Saliah

SICARIA, a London native of Moroccan heritage, has released a new set of remixes for her acclaimed 2023 EP ‘Blood, Sweat & Self’.

Originally released last November, the EP, inspired by artist & photographer Cindy Sherman and her decades-long performative practice of photographing herself under different guises, is intended to exhibit SICARIA's flair for developing a type of sound art that is in perfect harmony with her personal history and narrative.

Now the remix EP sees the tracks get new interpretations by Saliah, Introspekt, Anna Morgan and Kyrist.

Saliah reimagines the profound rhythms and spiritual essence of Gnawa music in the opening cut ’Still Swingin’, infusing them with her own sonic textures to create a captivating auditory experience.

Anna Morgan offers a fresh take on ‘(Not So) Serious Ting’, while Introspekt, who was named a Mixmag one to watch in 2023, reinvents ‘Freak 2 Freak’. This track’s original release had marked the launch of SICARIA’s new imprint Club Confi:DANCE in September 2023. Finally, Kyrist casts a sonic spell with her version of the closing track ‘Tout De Sweet’.
