Sixsixsevenfortyseven drop debut LP: ‘Wounded Dogs’

Sixsixsevenfortyseven have released their debut album ‘Wounded Dogs’ via YOUTH, marking their first full-length project as a duo.

The 10-track LP, now available both digitally and on vinyl, introduces Sixsixsevenfortyseven as a collaborative live project between Swiss-Algerian DJ/producer NVST and the Netherlands-based artist Zohar. Rooted in an experimental approach to club music, ‘Wounded Dogs’ blends industrial textures, distorted rhythms and emotionally charged vocal work, reflecting the duo’s shared interest in tension, release and raw expression.

Formed as an outlet for spontaneous and intuitive performance, Sixsixsevenfortyseven present an uncompromising sound that leans into vulnerability as much as aggression. Across the album, themes of personal struggle, interpersonal friction and collective catharsis are explored through dense arrangements and live improvisations. Rather than smoothing out the edges, NVST and Zohar allow chaos and unpredictability to shape the project’s narrative.

‘Wounded Dogs’ arrives on YOUTH, the Manchester-based label run by Andrew Lyster (aka DJ Lyster). Known for its diverse roster and genre-defying output, the imprint has built a reputation for championing artists who challenge traditional club formats and embrace risk-taking in their sonic explorations.

The LP follows individual releases by both artists; NVST’s previous work has spanned techno, punk and breakbeat influences, while Zohar’s productions lean toward atmospheric, fractured electronics. Together, they create a space where live noise, processed vocals and off-kilter rhythms coexist, underscoring the album’s central concern with imperfection and emotional weight.
