Sleep D step onto Kalahari Oyster Cult with ‘Reward Chemicals’
The three-track EP blends techno and trance influences for the dance floor

Sleep D, comprising Melbourne-born Corey Kikos and Iraqi-Australian artist Maryos Syawish, have made their full label debut on Kalahari Oyster Cult with a new three-track EP blending techno and trance influences.
Arriving after their recent remix contribution to Alfred Czital and Ayu’s ‘Talk To Me’ EP, the release titled ‘Reward Chemicals’ showcases the duo’s freeform, hardware-led energy across a set designed for the dance floor. “Very excited to have a record out on the legendary Kalahari Oyster Cult. A mix bag of moods for the dance floor. Thanks for the invite Rey Colino!” the pair said.
The record moves from cybernetic intensity to sci-fi-tinged atmospheres before closing with an expansive trance-led finale, reflecting the duo’s trademark balance between spontaneity and precision. Known for their live improvisations and genre-fluid approach, Sleep D bring the same spirit to this project, described as a “triple-pronged attack” into the “rave unconscious” in the release copy.
Through their Butter Sessions label, Kikos and Syawish have built an influential catalogue and released on international imprints including Incienso, Planet Euphorique and Cocktail d’Amore. Their work spans full-length albums, orchestral collaborations, and re-scored film soundtracks, while their DJ sets and live shows have reached audiences across the US, UK, Europe, Asia and Australia.
