The Demon Box translates everyday objects into distinctive sound signatures
Eternal Research’s debut synth is now available for pre-order

Berlin-based tech company Eternal Research has opened pre-orders for its debut product, the Demon Box, a device designed to transform electromagnetic signals into sound and light.
The Demon Box is an all-analog, triangular black unit fitted with potentiometers and three slide switches. Its design carries an enigmatic character, almost otherworldly in appearance, yet inside it houses an innovative piece of music technology.
The device employs a proprietary configuration of 33 inductors arranged in a triangular field. This setup enables the translation of electromagnetic resonances from surrounding objects and devices into multiple outputs: three mono channels, one stereo channel, three CVs and MIDI, all available simultaneously.
Operation is simple. By holding different items over the inductor field, the Demon Box captures electromagnetic activity and converts it into distinctive sonic textures. Everyday objects such as digital cameras, LED light bulbs, handheld fans, kitchen blenders, or even electric toothbrushes can each yield their own unique sound signature.
The Demon Box can now be pre-ordered.
