TRQ premieres his exclusive DJ set on YouTube

Kuwaiti DJ, producer and performer TRQ has released a brand-new DJ set on YouTube, marking the world premiere of a performance filmed inside the world’s largest wooden boat at Radisson Blu Kuwait.

The set, which has already amassed over 190,000 views since its premiere, offers a blend of emotive, groove-led selections and club-ready tracks. The hour-long performance includes a majority of TRQ’s own productions, along with two standout edits; one of Depeche Mode’s ‘Personal Jesus’ and another of 4Strings’ ‘Take Me Away’.

Filmed by Siyn.q with impressive aerial shots, and executive produced by Michael Gracciopo, the set reflects TRQ’s evolving sonic vision and his continued push to represent Middle Eastern talent.

Best known as the winner of Marina FM Kuwait’s "King of the Mix" DJ competition, where he placed first among 36 regional DJs, TRQ (real name Talal AlQaoud) has spent the past decade shaping his sound and building his presence across the region. In addition to radio appearances, he hosts the podcast Decibels Music and streams live sets on Twitch, with his latest move being the official launch of his YouTube channel. With releases on FTFT Records and Lelantus, TRQ weaves together diverse textures in his signature melodic and progressive techno sound.

This latest performance marks a key step in TRQ’s expanding journey as both a performer and producer, bridging local identity with international dance music energy.
