DOBé’s ‘I Keep Trying’ lands on Katermukke

DOBé has made his return to Katermukke with a new EP, ‘I Keep Trying’, following the success of his previous release on the label, ‘Lyman’.

With his new offering, the Germany-based artist stays true to his signature style, blending deep grooves, emotive melodies and hypnotic textures.

The opening track, ‘I Keep Trying’, builds around smooth yet commanding piano chords, setting an introspective yet uplifting tone. A dynamic bassline keeps the momentum flowing, while warm, expressive vocals reinforce the track’s central theme of resilience. As the arrangement unfolds, an engaging lead melody emerges, striking a balance between club-ready energy and reflective storytelling.

DOBé’s productions often lean into darker acoustic elements fused with driving rhythms, a combination that has drawn attention from key figures in the industry. This release continues in that vein while offering a refined approach to melodic techno’s evolving soundscape.

Adding to the EP, a remix from Dominik Gehringer introduces an alternate perspective. Known for his deep, tribal-infused take on melodic techno, the Croatia-based producer reshapes ‘I Keep Trying’ with his signature atmospheric layers and rolling grooves, offering a contrast to the original’s emotive core.
